BGT hosts year-end dinner for partners

Basra Gateway Terminal (BGT) held its annual year-end stakeholder dinner to celebrate key customers and partner shipping lines for another successful year at the Port of Umm Qasr.

The event highlighted major milestones in 2025, including the handling of ultra-large container vessels and the expansion of direct global trade routes. BGT’s management, led by Chief Executive Officer Romeo Salvador, thanked partners for their continued collaboration and support. He also reiterated a shared commitment to modernizing Iraq’s logistics infrastructure and improving supply chain efficiency.

The dinner also provided an opportunity for everyone to look ahead to 2026 with a focus on greater digitalization and operational efficiency.
