Basra Gateway Terminal held its annual tradition of assisting the less fortunate during the holy month of Ramadan.
Employee volunteers from different backgrounds and religious beliefs came together to give back to the community by distributing ration bags containing essential food items and other necessities. Serving as a lifeline for individuals and their families who are facing economic hardships, the ration also carries the promise of sustenance and support.
BGT’s action during Ramadan is more than just a gesture of charity; it is also a manifestation of society’s collective responsibility towards its most vulnerable members. Amidst the fasting and prayers, BGT’s effort exemplifies the values of empathy and kindness.
The activity also fosters inclusivity and solidary between BGT and its surrounding communities. Community centers and charitable organizations like special schools and orphanages serve as focal points for these efforts, which provide a platform for individuals to share their time, resources and goodwill with those in need.
