BCT sets new record

The MSC Adya at BCT

Baltic Container Terminal (BCT) set a new record for the terminal last July, handling the highest number of TEUs in a single call.

After four days of operation on the MSC Adya, BCT moved a total of 12,119 TEUs – surpassing the previous record of 9,503 TEUs during the call of MSC Madeleine from 30 July to 2 August 2023. Both records are the highest in the Port of Gdynia.

Arriving from Antwerp, the 364-meter long MSC Adya operates the SWAN service that connects European and Asian ports.

BCT’s latest achievement highlights the terminal’s capability to meet the increasing demand of the container market, despite the ongoing renovations to its main quay. BCT looks forward to handling even larger ships once the renovations are complete.
