ICTSI Global Academy empowers future leaders in LatAm

The ICTSI Global Academy held a two-week Terminal Operations Management training for leaders from the ICTSI Group’s business units in the Americas.
Held from 20 May to 31 at Hotel La Compañia in Panama City, the training was designed to further participants’ skills and knowledge in optimizing performance, minimizing waste and risks, cultivating a competitive edge, and fostering continuous improvement within the ICTSI Group.
The sessions were attended by 14 participants from Contecon Guayaquil, Contecon Manzanillo, Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana, Rio Brasil Terminal, Sociedad Puerto Industrial de Aguadulce, TecPlata and Tecon Suape, ensuring a dynamic exchange of perspectives and experiences throughout the training.
Gerard Langes, ICTSI head of business development for Asia Pacific, shared invaluable insights and practical guidance on terminal operation best practices, process optimization and efficiency, risk management and mitigation, among other topics.
The training culminated in a panel presentation led by Anders Kjeldsen, ICTSI senior vice president and Regional Head of the Americas. He was joined by Mr. Langes and Juan Corujo, Operadora Portuaria Centroamericana chief executive officer. Each terminal group showcased their understanding and concepts learned, as well as their ability to apply them in real-world scenarios.
The Terminal Operations Management training program is among the initiatives of the ICTSI Global Academy to nurture talent and develop future leaders across the ICTSI Group.
